To Our Mom on Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day to ALL the Mommas out there!!! 🙂
From us at Truly Lovely!!!

Today is a day to celebrate the most important woman in our lives!
OUR Momma, Lillie!!!

To Mom from Kayli:

My Dear Mama,
It’s Mother’s Day! And I want to make sure you know how much you mean to me. Honestly. You have made me the girl I am today and I can’t tell you how grateful I am for that. You’ve taught me so much: that touching the stove while it’s going is a bad idea and that when you put blush on you only put it on PART of your cheek. You’ve taught me that passing notes is generally a bad idea when you’re twelve and that “Boys only get dumber as they get older.” 🙂 More importantly, you’ve taught me how to live in this world and still act like a daughter of Heavenly Father. Even if you didn’t realize that’s what you were doing. You have taught me how to react gracefully and carry myself gracefully. You have taught me how to love and worry about others. And you have taught me by example.
I sometimes hear other girls talk about how much they hope they don’t end up like their mothers. I wouldn’t mind ending up like you, while I know you’ve tried to teach Kassi and I from your mistakes- you’ve clearly done so many things right. And you are a fantastic wife and mother. Two things I would give almost anything to be someday. So thank you for being you, and for giving your all EVERYDAY to everyone around you. I love you so much Mom and I am SO proud to be your daughter.

To Mom from Kassi:

Dear Mom,
We’ve talked about this before… But I cannot wait to be a mom just like YOU! I want to be the kind of mom that makes a BIG deal out of birthdays! That treats holidays like HOLIDAYS and everyone is included!!! I LOVE that you still make sure everyone gets an Easter basket! (Even Nate now! And he loves to be included. Even if he acts all tough and too cool to get sung to on his birthday! He loved it. Don’t let him tell you otherwise.)
Anyway, a mom just like YOU!
I know you’re worried about your “Empty Nest” coming up… But you know that none of us are ever really gone. We were lucky to be raised by parents that taught us that home is the best place in the world. And home will always be where you and dad are. You also taught us that it’s important to go out into the world and make something of ourselves. To become who we dream to be. But we always know regardless of dreams achieved, or dreams lost, we can always come back to you guys. And we will. Over and over.
Happy Mother’s Day Mom!
