Here in Arizona the growing season extends much longer than many other areas in the country…
A fact that makes the warmer weather at least a little more bearable while other places are receiving cooler fall temperatures. 😉
I'm excited this Fall to be able to add a little more color to our backyard in my raised flower beds. I would love to eventually have it look as lush as this pin I found on Pinterest….
Don't you love the shades of fall oranges surrounded by greenery! So pretty!
When I was younger my mother and grandmother always had pretty, colorful flower beds. Granted it was much cooler weather in the mountains of NM than the dessert of Arizona, but weather permitting their pretty flower gardens flourished. Now I'm so excited to able to have one of my own!!
So to Find beauty in the Fall here in Arizona and get started on my Fall flower bed dream my husband and I built our own raised flower beds across the backyard fence!
We built the flowers beds with landscape timbers purchased during the Labor Day Sale at Home Depot. The entire pallet of timbers only cost about $100! We simply measured and cut the landscape timbers to our desired lengths, then connected them using screws and some strong-tie strips to form a box.
Once we had a raised flower bed it was easy to get started on my Fall gardening. With anything I plant I almost always turn to Miracle-Gro. Why turn to anyone but the experts, right!?
Did you know Miracle-Gro has a specially formulated Garden Soil for flowers and vegetables? It can feed the plants in your outdoor flower beds for up to three months!!
That makes growing pretty fall flowers much easier since I only have to worry about the watering and not applying plant feed all the time! So far I only have a few dispersed plants in my flower beds, but I'm hoping with a little help from the Miracle-Gro Garden Soil that I'll have a lush fall flower bed like my Pinterest inspiration photo very soon!
Do you have a fall flower bed, fall garden? Or just enjoy gardening in general?
You can share your gardening stories and connect with other gardeners via the Miracle-Gro Facebook page! I'd also love to know your tips for keeping a flower bed flourishing all year long!?!
Happy gardening lovelies!!!
