5 Easy Snack Ideas with Hershey’s Spreads

I have just found my new favorite snacking go to!!! Hershey’s Spreads! I’ll be honest, I never really jumped on the chocolate, hazelnut spread bandwagon… No particular reason I guess. Kayli, my sister, did and tried to convince me to try it but I just haven’t. That is until Crowdtap sent me a jar of the brand new Hershey’s Spread to sample.
Oh. My. Yum.

Hershey's Spread Sampling

I am in snacking heaven!!! After a couple weeks of trying several snack combinations I have narrowed them down to my five favorites.

First up, Hershey’s Spread and popcorn. Specifically kettle corn. It just so happened I had a bag from a Cowboy Christmas event we went to over Thanksgiving weekend. I thought, why not?! Turns out it is DELICIOUS!!! Try it. Really.

Then there’s the old stand by… Chocolate and strawberries. Can’t go wrong. You just can’t… yummy!

Pairing Hershey’s Spread with apple slices makes for a tasty treat as well! Just slice up your apple and dip into the chocolate spread. Easy, right!?

Now this one is going to blow your mind I’m sure… Chocolate and Graham Crackers! haha. Just add a marshmallow and you’ve got a S’more!

And finally a little salty/sweet combo… Hershey’s Spread and pretzel sticks! This one was fun cause you can just dip the stick in the chocolate!

Cowboy Baby Shower Chocolate Favors

Remember last week I promised a post on the Cowboy Chocolate Favors that I made for my best friend’s baby shower?
Well here you go! 😉

These were so, so fun to make and I was completely pleased with how they turned out!
It just so happened that a few weeks before the baby shower Kayli and I walked into JoAnn’s to find a sale on candy supplies! I got everything I needed to make these adorable favors for about $20!
The cowboy boot and hat chocolate molds came from here.

I used Kayli’s method of melting chocolate…
A saucepan of boiling water, a pie pan on top, chocolate in the pie pan, stir until completely melted.

Then I filled the candy squeeze bottle with the melted chocolate and then filled the candy molds. I didn’t need the squeeze bottle so much for the cowboy hats as they were a larger mold, but it was SO nice to have for filling the smaller boot molds!

A quick tap or two of the molds on the counter top and the chocolate smoothed right out! The molds went into the freezer for about five-eight minutes. Once I took them out they popped right out of the molds!

I made both blue colored and brown chocolates. To package them I put a mix of blue and brown in a candy bag.

I stamped some brown Kraft tags purchased from Pick Your Plum with a red ‘Thanks Friend’ stamp.
{Thanks to my sister in law, Brianne, for the stamp!!!}
And tied one tag around each bag of chocolates.

Cowboy Party Favors

To display the favors at the baby shower I used a rope basket from my wedding, a basket I snagged from my mom at some point {thanks mom!!} and some red paisley fabric…

We handed one out to each guest at the end of Meghan’s baby shower to say thanks for coming.

If nothing else, Meg was impressed… She kept telling people, “Look, these are chocolate!
Her dad cracked me up… he told her, “Good… just what you need Meg.”
I couldn’t agree more… any pregnant mommy-to-be should have some chocolate!!! 😉

Chocolate and Caramel Dipped Pretzels

Hello there!

If you’re new here, HEY HEY!!! Glad to see you! 🙂 Start here if you’d like to learn a little more about us.
If you’re not new here, welcome back friend! 🙂

Have I ever mentioned that I have been blessed with some AMAZING sisters in law? I have.
I’m a lucky one. I know. 😉

St. Patrick’s Day (thus all the green! I was wearing green earrings and a ring that I won from The Posh Daisy FYI!) myself, the hubs, SIL Brianne (on the left), and our neice and nephew all drove up to visit SIL Arina (middle) and her family! They live about 4 hours away. We don’t get to see them often, but it’s always fun when we do!

We spent the afternoon making treats for Arina’s Young Women’s church group. The treats?
Chocolate AND caramel dipped pretzels! WITH…. Easter M&Ms!!

Arina used her Ninja to chop up the M&Ms.
We all (the sisters in law) got a Ninja for Christmas from our in laws! Do they choose great gifts or what?!?

Brianne and Miss Ada manned the homemade caramel on the stove. I plan to get the recipe from Arina sometime and share it here on the blog. It. Is. AMAZING. I couldn’t stop eating pretzels dipped just in the caramel!
{Did you see that ARINA?… I think she’s a Truly Lovely lurker… 😉}

We also melted chocolate chips for the chocolate and once melted, got to dipping!
All the kiddos wanted to help of course! 😉

Some we dipped just in chocolate than in the crushed M&Ms, some we dipped in caramel, chilled in the fridge, then dipped them in chocolate and M&Ms! Triple threat, what!?!
So yummy!

That afternoon as I was taking pictures we joked that they’d just made the front page of Truly Lovely. 😉
Kayli and I are so blessed to have a family that knows how much we love this blog and really supports us with it!!!

What about you?? Were you blessed with amazing in laws?
Or… What’s your favorite thing to dip in chocolate/caramel? I want to try this again soon!
