TMI Tuesday Answers #1

Hello lovelies!!! :)
Real quick before we get into the TMI…
I am guest posting over at The CSI Project today!
I’m sharing a tasty, easy crock pot recipe! :)

Visit thecsiproject.com

Alright. Last Tuesday you had your chance…
Ask us ANYTHING!
Here’s what you asked with our answers!
We answered each of your questions without consulting the other person, so you will find that some of our answers are the same or similar… OR completely opposite!
 That’s sisters for you! ;)
Don’t worry… if you missed out on asking your question we’ll do this again sometime soon. :)

Question 1: If there were any job in the world you girls could have, what would it be? Anything goes!

Kassi: I would LOVE to be an interior decorator!!
A decorator good enough to go on Design Star and win, then have my own show on HGTV!!!

Kayli: Well I’d love to do a lot of things- be an interior decorator, an artist, a teacher- but if I could choose anything and be successful, I’d own a bakery. I just love to bake! Cookies, brownies, whoopie pies, all of it. The idea of having my own little warm, cozy, bakery just makes me happy. :)

Kayli… Baking! Kassi’s birthday cake, actually. ;)

Question 2: If you could be on any reality tv show (Survivor, X Factor, Amazing Race, etc) what would it be and why?

Kassi: Well… I guess I already answered that one up above…. Design Star!
Because that would mean I was a good enough designer/interior decorator to be on Design Star! ;)

Kayli: Cupcake wars! :) but if I could choose one that isn’t as competitive I would be on Sweet Home Alabama. Have you seen homeboy this season?! Whew! ;)

Question 3: What is on your top 10 Craft Bucket List?

Kassi: GREAT question!!! OK…
1. Pallet Headboard
2. Making it onto and WINNING one of those blog craft competitions like
So You Think You’re Crafty or One Month to Win It.
3. An entire handmade Christmas (gifts).
4. Western/Cowboy themed quilt
5. A lovely and inspiring craft room
6. Frame jewelry holder
7. Fun holiday themed throw pillows for every holiday that we celebrate
8. Someday making something unique and fun enough to have my own
handmade shop on Etsy
9. Etched glass kitchen ware
10. Mod Podge something large, like a suitcase or a chair

Kayli:  (These are all on my “Things I’d Love to Try” pinterest board)

1. Cotton Wreath
2. Crayon Hearts
3. T-shirt quilt
4. Etched bakeware
5. Tie Bracelets
6. Mason Jar Soap/lotion dispenser
7. Body Pillows
8. Planter Cake Stand
9. Bleach Pen Shirts
10. Penny Keychain

Question 4: What is the favorite Christmas present you have ever received?

Kassi: As an adult my favorite Christmas present was last year when my husband bought me a Silhouette. He had no idea what it was or what it did, but he knew I wanted one, so he got online and ordered one for me. :)

Kayli: The first things that come to mind are my Hope Chest from my parents and my luggage set from Kassi. I just remember feeling like they were milestone gifts, like I got them because I was becoming a young lady. :)

Question 5: What is the best Christmas present you have ever given?

Kassi: Actually… Kayli and I have one in the works for our mom for this year… I have a feeling that might be it! Just in case she reads this… You’ll have to hear about it after! ;)

Kayli: The best Christmas gift I’ve ever given was to my dad. It was a pastel painting of him holding me as a baby. It definitely wasn’t my best work, but it was out of love, and it meant a lot to me.

Question 6: What post are you most proud of on your blog?

Kassi: Honestly, the post I am most proud of is my college advice letter to Kayli. I really put a lot of time and thought into the things I wanted to share with her and anyone else who might be going off on their own for the first time.

Kayli: I don’t know that I’m proud of any of my own posts, but my favorite is the letter Kassi wrote me before I moved to college. I go back and read it a lot.

Question 7: What do you like to craft with the most?
i.e. felt, fabric, etc?

Kassi: Well, if you look back through my crafty posts, I guess it has to be VINYL! I love cutting me some vinyl with my Silhouette for all kinds of projects!
Like this one, or this one, or this one! ;)

Kayli: Does flour count? Haha! But I love fabric, it’s probably my favorite. :)

Question 8: What have you learned from the challenges in your life?

Kassi: I haven’t really ever talked about it here before… But in the span of just over a year my husband and I lost his mom, my Granny and his Grandpa. All in different situations and different stages of life. These trials really taught me that life, no matter what stage you are in is important. It is to be lived and loved and most importantly,  not taken for granted.
If you’d like, here’s our very first post where we dedicate Truly Lovely to our Granny. ;)

Kayli: I think the greatest lesson I’ve learned from the challenges in my life is that my Heavenly Father knows me personally and by name. He knows what trials I need, He knows how I will learn, He knows how I feel and He knows how to comfort me. I’ve learned to trust Him, because quite frankly I don’t know what the heck I’m doing 99.9% of the time, but He knows what needs to happen, and if I do my best, he’ll get me there. One way or another. :)

A Lovely for Penny and Pandy (Our Doggies)

If you’ve been following along with us for awhile, you’ve heard of Penny and Pandy! But if not, they’re mine and the hubs’ doggies.
Penny, (on the left) a mini Aussie and Pandy (right) a mini Aussie/Shelty

Smiling for the camera of course… ;)
When this cute little doggie package from the Dog Collars Boutique arrived in the mail, they were SUPER excited to do their first product review for you lovelies!
It came wrapped in fun paw print tissue paper with a cute little dog bone magnet inside!

Our girls are hard on dog toys… i.e. they last only a short time before being completely demolished.

Look at that face!! “What… I wasn’t just tearing this toy to shreds with my teeth…”
So this time around I was hoping to get a more indestructible toy, but one that was still soft enough to play with inside the house.
After looking through the Dog Collars Boutique‘s toy selection, I decided on the Bungee-Bone in red of course (it comes in three colors) for my girls.

Right away miss thing herself, Penny, decided it was to be hers.
She’s older and thinks she runs the show most of the time.

But Pandy was having none of that after awhile and tried to get in on the fun. You see, the toy has little squeakers in each end, so as Penny was playing, Pandy realized it was more fun than it had initially looked. :)

They had lots of fun playing with the Bungee Bone by themselves for awhile, and then after they got bored with that brought it to us to play fetch.
It really seemed to be entertaining!
We’ve had it for over a week now and it’s still completely intact!
That’s gotta be a dog toy record at our house!
Last night I caught Pandy sneaking it with her into the bedroom before bedtime…
(They sleep on the floor next to our bed.)
So obviously, it’s become the new favorite. :)

I learned a couple of things through this first ever doggie review on Truly Lovely! First, the Dog Collars Boutique has a HUGE selection of dog training items including of course collars, but also dog leashes, and toys.
I also learned it’s incredibly tough to get two dogs to look at the camera at one time. :)

Happy shopping lovelies!!!

Project: Do Me Kassi Style #5

To read the premise behind Project Do Me,
created by the lovely Kym at Travel Babbles… Go here

Kassi’s List!
UPDATE!
Updates are in italics/bold.

Daily

1. Read one book chapter
or magazine article every night before bed.
(Not so hot this week… For some reason, every time I got ready for bed… instead of reading, I just crashed. Which is cool… Gotta catch up on sleep sometime I guess… I am working through the 168 Hours book by tracking my time spent this week… Stay tuned for a post on that at some point!)

***

2. 10 minutes, at least, of exercise.
(Better than last week… I have gotten up from my desk and moved around a few times… But still pretty much sucky. SO… I am going to look for some sort of do at your desk workout to start next week!)

3. Log calories and exercise on My Fitness Pal.
(Keeping this as a goal. Knowing that I have this written here makes me remember at least 2 out of the 7 week days… Oops…)

4. Spend 10 minutes every evening playing with my doggies

(I’ve tried to do really good with this one! Me and the fiance are pretty much taking care of my pops-in-laws two little doggies… He’s working out of town. So all FOUR dogs, yes… FOUR… get some attention every evening. Even if its just a couple treats and a pat on the head…)
Little Misses Penny and Pandy

Weekly

1. Two Love Notes Jars.
One for me and one for the hubs to be.
Write one thing we love about each other everyday for 20 days in March.
Read one a day to celebrate our anniversary in April.
(Haven’t done this yet… Mentioned it to Mr. M though… He thought it was funny. I’m really trying to teach him the art of romantics. Haha. It’s a work in progress. Still doing this though, will hope for this week!)

2. Go to lunch with a friend once a week
(Mr. M came and picked me up for Pizza Hut on Monday! What a sweetheart he is!! He got off work early, so we had a lunch date.)

3. Finish one rope vase for the wedding
(Sadly, this is still not done. I’m getting concerned that I won’t have enough. Time to get serious about rope vases!!!)

Monthly

1. Decide on and order wedding flowers
(Working on this one…)

2. Decide on and order wedding invitations
(Gave my engagement pics CD and invitation wording to the girl that’s going to design our invites… She’s working on a few examples that we can choose from. Yay!)

3. Go out on a REAL date with my fiance
(I guess the lunch date could count…. But even if not, we spent yesterday evening together, just talking about buying our house and hanging out together. So that was really nice! Now for a real date OUT of the house!)

Yearly

1. Mark 5 off of my 30 before 30 list
(SO close to having a house bought with my Mr. M… And the wedding date is only 100 days away!!! That’ll be two marked off the list! :)

First glimpse of our new house!!! Well.. new to us… Yes.
It’s a double wide mobile home.
Snicker if you must, but that would be uncool of you.
Cause we LOVE it. :) haha
If you have a Project Do Me list or something similar, please share it here, or link it up over at Travel Babbles!
She’s got an on-going linky in her sidebar now!
Seriously… that girl is crazy creative!

Until next time…
